# Easy Anti-Cheat

> Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) is Epic Games' anti-cheat service that protects multiplayer games from cheating, hacking, and bots across platforms.

Easy Anti-Cheat is a layered anti-cheat service from Epic Games, distributed as part of Epic Online Services and free to start. It integrates with Unreal Engine, Unity, and custom engines. Client protection covers Windows, Mac, Linux, and Steam Deck, and is compatible with crossplay on console. Anti-Cheat does not support Android or iOS.

Protection is tiered. A free tier provides basic protection at no cost, blocking common cheating techniques such as memory editing, file tampering, and code injection. Paid tiers add progressively deeper protection and dedicated support, including game-specific detection: custom rules written by Epic's anti-cheat analysts against a particular title's mechanics and observed cheat behavior. The services page linked below is authoritative on the current tiers and what each includes.

Players who have been blocked from a game and want to appeal should use the appeal form linked below. Developers integrating the service should start from the Epic Online Services SDK documentation.
