Error: Maximum simultaneous game instances reached!

Description

The Easy Anti-Cheat service limits the active count of game client instances to a developer-specified value.

This value is not directly visible to the player, but is often between 1-3.

Steps to resolve

Start by opening up Task Manager to see if the game process has been left in a hidden state. Should that be the case, kill it from the Task Manager and try launching the game again.

In the scenario where you face the error and cannot find the game process in Task Manager something has likely prevented the Easy Anti-Cheat driver from unloading and unfortunately a system reboot is required for it to unload.
